How does the campaign work?
Each year, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics launches a new limited edition Pretty Powerful product of which every cent sold supports programs around the world that provide women and girls with the knowledge, skills and experience to overcome the social inequalities and disadvantages that they face.
Under the Pretty powerful Campaign for Women & Girls, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics has partnered with like-minded organizations—including Girl Rising and Broome Street Academy—to improve the lives of those in our community and beyond.
Girl Rising promotes a simple, critical truth: educating girls can break the cycle of poverty in just one generation. Yet around the world, millions of girls face barriers to their education that boys do not. At the heart of the Girl Rising movement is the acclaimed feature film of the same name, by Academy Award-nominated director Richard E. Robbins, that journeys around the glove spotlighting nine unforgettable girls striving beyond circumstance and overcoming nearly insurmountable odds to achieve their dreams.
The Broome Street Academy is a tuition-free public charter high school located in New York City’s Soho neighborhood devoted to providing students the necessary skills and support to graduate high school, while preparing them for a successful future beyond high school. Their admissions policy gives preference to students who are homeless, in foster care, or from low performing schools.
